Peak of Rajasthan

A one hour drive through Rajasthan’s famous hill station-Abu, takes you through the curvy paths of the Aravali Range to reach Guru Shikhar (the highest point of Rajasthan). The place has spectacular views to offer over the valley and of course has a temple which has good darshan opportunities for those interested. Many tourists flock this place (mostly for the temple) while some like us, reach there looking for a new experience. You can enjoy a plate of hot maggie as you look at the serene view. Be sure that you are well covered as it can get quite windy there. Do not lean too much on rails (you never know!)

There is not much to write about this place, but it is a must visit for it is high up at almost 5500 ft above sea level and if you trek all the way up, it is no mean feat!

If you are a fan of astronomy you can visit Mt Abu Astronomy nearby, but it needs prior booking and appointment so make sure you do the needful. We missed it so oops!

  1. You’re blogs are great Akshita. I def wanna go to Abu and the space observatory. See if you can add a few more pics of the place though, that would make it more insightful.
