Go Goa with a Gang

When I visited Goa this may, I did not anticipate the crazy time that awaited me. Here is a glimpse of what Goa does to simple people like me and few reasons why you should visit Goa with friends. The trip started with a 29 hour long journey with three friends (this trip deserves a separate blog). Soon after, we were a group of about 12!

The most important aspect of the trip was that everytime was a good time to get into the Sea! We spent the first night at the beach, the second afternoon, evening and midnight and the third morning and afternoon! (my post on rendezvousing at 4am can be read here)

The second good part was that we hired scooties (obviously) and just drove- endlessly. We traveled upto 80 kms from where we stayed and explored native villages, routes, and streets of Goa. Moving around in the group was ofcourse very exciting and fascinating. Surprisingly, Goa was pleasant even in May, with a mild soothing breeze off setting the effect of the scorching sun. This allowed us to stop anywhere and click a picture! It was guaranteed that every photograph would be a masterpiece.

Goa mesmerizes one because even the famous touristy places are spell binding and gorgeous! Hence, one needn’t try very hard and look for offbeat places. The old churches, huge beaches, water sports and endless bars, everything keeps one busy and occupied                                                                                                                                         

Thanks to Bollywood, most of us ended up going crazy with poses and adventure attempts that made the trip all the more fun and reinstated my faith, that this is a place to be with friends. ONLY friends.

So why was I in Goa? Most important aspect- I was in Goa for a conference! (yess! Aint that cool?). So here is a glimpse of what we wore at the Conference before we went berserk at the beaches and bars everyday!
